It’s official. Camejo to run…

It’s official. Camejo to run for governor in CA recall election

“Peter Camejo, the Green Party candidate who racked up 5.3 percent of the statewide vote in last year’s gubernatorial election, said Monday he will be a candidate if a recall election against Gov. Gray Davis is called.

“You will find all throughout California people who are progressives, people who are environmentalists, people who are workers, opposing Davis and wanting him removed,” Camejo, 63, of Walnut Creek, said at a press conference here. “But they don’t want the Republican Party.”

Some Greens oppose Camejo running because golly shucks, the recall is engineered by those bad Republicans, so we should nothing as a form of protest. Hello? If, or should I say when, the recall election happens, Greens needs a strong candidate, someone who will say, hey, what happened to all the money, let’s have an independent audit - and that candidate is Peter Camejo.

Those Greens who oppose Camejo tend to be the same timid souls who think Greens shouldn’t run a candidate for President in 2004 because it might inadvertently elect Bush. This is not the time for rolling over and playing dead. This is the time to speak truth to power.  Loudly. If Democrats want Green votes then they can jolly well move to the Left. And in doing so, might win the Presidency.

If only part of this…

If only part of this is true…

From the Telegraph UK, Oct 8, 2002

“Secret documents obtained by an IRA spy network included transcripts of telephone conversations between Tony Blair and President Bush, security sources confirmed yesterday.

The disclosure that terrorists gained access to confidential White House information is likely to provoke a furious reaction in America. David Trimble, Northern Ireland’s First Minister and leader of the Ulster Unionists, compared the republican espionage as “10 times worse than Watergate”, which led to the resignation of President Nixon.”

Sherman Skolnick, who has been at the conspiracy business for decades, says:

“The secret transcripts and other high-level documents grabbed by the IRA reportedly prove the following, according to those familiar with them::

[1] Bush admits he is greatly troubled by suppressed documents of the American CIA proving there is no danger by Saddam Hussein and no basis for a pre-emptive military attack by the U.S. aided by the British.

[2] Bush expressed his concern to Blair who agreed that Saddam Hussein, if left in power, and alive, is in a position to blackmail the Bush Family and the Queen of England.

Both Bush and Blair, according to the secret transcripts and related documents, are concerned that Saddam Hussein, as a living witness, can give personal direct testimony, as to the treason by Daddy Bush in setting Iraq against Iran, and Iran against Iraq, resulting in the huge bloodshed in the Iran-Iraq War, 1980-1988.

Used against Iran by Iraq was poison gas from ingredients reportedly supplied by a unit of a French firm, American LaFarge, of which Daddy Bush was a substantial owner and Hillary Rodham Clinton was a Director.”

Skolnick has more on this. He’s a perpetual gadfly, conspiracy buff, and just when you think he’s nuts you discover something he’s been railing about for years is true. An interesting guy, to be sure. Not be be instantly discounted by any means.

Nader considering another try at…

Nader considering another try at White House in 2004

The probability of a Nader run is 2004 is starting to get mentioned in major media.

“Ralph Nader, still blamed by many Democrats for draining critical votes from Al Gore in the 2000 race for the presidency, says he is seriously considering running in 2004.

Nader says he has moved closer to a repeat run as the Green Party nominee after concluding that Democrats have no one who can defeat President Bush.

“It is quite clear that the Democrats are incapable of defending our country against the Bush marauders,” Nader, 69, says. “They have been unwilling to go all out to stop the destructive tax cuts for the wealthy. They have been soft on corporate crime. They have gone along in almost every issue except judicial appointments. They have cowered, surrendered or divided themselves.”

“So what are you to replace Bush with? They won’t go after him the way I could.”
