Hi, I’m Bob Morris. That’s me with my dino buddy near the Anza-Borrego State Park in California.

Email: bob@polizeros.com.  Links: https://beacons.ai/bobmorris

Leftie politics. Active in Never Trump since it started on the Bird site.

Cats. We’ve fostered hundreds of cats and kittens.

Vegas is where I live. It reinvents itself more often and more successfully than Silicon Valley.

Enrolled Agent, which means I passed an IRS exam and can represent taxpayers. Ask me U.S. tax questions!

What does the name Politics in the Zeros mean, you ask?
Polizeros started in 2003, early in the first decade of a new century. Thus, the years had lots of zeros in them. Plus, politics is about money so there are lots of zeros there too. Finally, in my opinion, many politicians are themselves zeros. Did not expect the blog to last nearly this long.

From 2004-2007 I was active in the antiwar movement in Los Angeles, and helped organize protests, including demonstrations that drew hundreds of thousands of protesters. From 2001-2003, I was Co-Coordinator of the Green Party of Los Angeles County.

In the mid-1970’s I published a fanzine in Los Angeles called Street Life, which was about garage and punk and in the 1980’s was an Associate Editor at Option, an alt music magazine.

I was a website developer and database programmer for years, and now am a tax pro and Enrolled Agent. My wife Sue and I live in Las Vegas.

This is a WordPress blog, using the Blocksy theme

  1. Thanks for the recommendation to Lynda.com – it’s just what I’ve been looking for.

Thanks also for your blogs. We share the leftie perspective, but my focus is on teaching, both within the academy and in the local communities.

  2. Hey all — was hoping that someone could clue me in on a total n00b CSS issue:

I’m trying to customize the Random Image Theme for WordPress, and I’m running into a small — but *incredibly annoying* — problem.

I’m trying to make the background of the content area white. The background of navigation column that runs down the right side is not plain white (FFFFFF). Rather Photoshop’s color picker claims that it’s F9F9F9 — but this isn’t anywhere in the style.css file. There is a .alt that has a background set at F8F8F8, but when I change that to FFFFFF, it doesn’t help.

Where is that shading coming from?

    many thanks…

  4. I found using wordpress to design my web sites a great time saver and with plugins for automatic sitemap generation and SEO optimisaion and easy changing of themes its such a web design time saver. If fact i just made a template from the theme im currently using and after veiwing the souce code i just saved as html and with a bit of copy and pasting moved all the content on my older html pages to the new template now my older pages all look the same as the blog template. On a new site this isnt a problem but this one has been around a while before i used wordpress. Still have a load of article pages to move over but i should be able to automate some of it with a few block text replacer programs i have.

  5. Hi!
I am going to wordcamp on Saturday, and during Wordcamp, I am going to be leading online wordgames on different people’s blogs.
They will be silly, fun, low tech games using wordpress blogs.
Would you like to host a game on your blog?
Each game takes 15 minutes, and you would need to be able to post the game, and keep track of comments that 15 minutes while you are at wordcamp.
Go to http://www.bodyabcs.com/bwp/word-games/ to read more about it.

    Much Love,
