The State of California is selling the Orange County Fairgrounds in a frantic attempt to raise money to cover its ballooning deficit.

A broke state says it will issue IOUs until its legislature acts like adults and passes a budget (don’t hold your breath) but then can’t even get it together to send the IOUs out. Truly, such incompetence is breathtaking. Why, it’s beyond Palinesque, is what it is.

Ok, so does anyone actually know how big the California budget deficit is? Because it keeps growing. Why just a few months ago it was $12 billion. Then $15 billion. Then, whoopsie, they admitted it was really $22 billion.
