California state budget deficit reaches $25.4 billion

How was I to know the revenue was phantom?

Yet again California has used MSU* methods for their budget projections. They’ve been making projections based on phantom revenue. As in non-existent revenue. As in never existed in the first place, except in the fevered brains or rolling off lying tongues of weaseldick politicians and state officials in Sacramento.

Because it was just a few days ago their deficit calculations were much smaller. This indicates to me they are either 1) incompetent, 2) congenital liars, or c) both.

Because really, how else can you explain such continual and spectacular underestimation of the budget deficit occurring over a period of years in Sacramento?
