Woo hoo, I just used the WordPress ActivityPub plugin to connect my blog to Mastodon. Now anything I post on the blog will appear on Mastodon too, just like Meta is doing with Threads. It’s easy to install and defaults to your author profile. Copy the displayed user id into Mastodon search and follow it. Then you’ll be subscribed to and see your blog posts. Use their template tags to configure how the post will appear.
This is powerful stuff and was developed by Matthias Pfefferle & Automattic (the parent company of WordPress) so it’s solid and will be supported.
Enter the fediverse with ActivityPub, broadcasting your blog to a wider audience! Attract followers, deliver updates, and receive comments from a diverse user base of ActivityPub-compliant platforms.
With the ActivityPub plugin installed, your WordPress blog itself function as a federated profile, along with profiles for each author

@pzbob Woo hoo, it worked! And this comment appeared in comments on the blog, which I wasn't expecting.
