This in response to an Oakland City Council member trying to insert language condemning Hamas in a resolution for a ceasefire.

And absolutely, the Middle East (and the world!) is anxiously awaiting a proclamation about Israel from the Oakland City Council, who you might think would want to focus on their clearly dysfunctional city. But you’d be wrong.
Complicit is all this are many of the little Marxist parties (WW, PSL, DSA) who operate through front groups and who in the past have made a great show of being anti-Zionist and not anti-Semitic. Yet most of their websites currently have not a peep about opposing anti-Semitism. Huh, imagine that. Except for Socialist Workers Party who are pointblank opposed to Hamas. “Join fight against Jew-hatred! Back Israel’s right to defend itself.” Good for them.
The statements made at the council meeting are just deranged, blatantly antisemitic conspiracy bilge. They must be opposed.
