In our deranged era with rancid anti-Semitism crawling out of sewers, Mike Rothschild’s book “Jewish Space Lasers“, details the history of anti-Semitism, using the Rothschild family (Mike is not related) as the focal point. The family has been around for hundreds of years and endured many vile attacks. And TLDR; the attacks are baseless, deliberately filled with misinformation and lies, and routinely libelous. And the family never responds. Which is how it should be.
Mike uses historical record to dissect the rumors and attacks. No, the Rothschilds did not profit from WWI, cause the Great Depression, eat babies, and aren’t worth $500 trillion. The noxious “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” which slimed out of Russia pre-WWI (surprise!) has been used by generations harass, and sometimes kill Jews. It was, of course, all fabricated.
If the placement of the forgery in 1902–1903 Russia is correct, then it was written at the beginning of a series of anti-Jewish pogroms in the Russian Empire, in which thousands of Jews were killed or fled the country. Many of the people whom De Michelis suspects of involvement in the forgery were directly responsible for inciting the pogroms.
