Scientists have succeeded in 3D printing cells taken from the eye. For the first time ever, mature central nervous system cells have been 3D printed. This “could lead to the production of artificial tissue grafts made from the variety of cells found in the human retina and may aid in the search to cure blindness.”

This is still in the preliminary phases and is proof-of-concept. However the possibilities are quite amazing.
