John Kerry makes tepid pretense of reforming NSA

John Kerry pretends to be concerned about illegal and intrusive NSA snooping. The Obama Administration has been mostly mute about this – when not actively defending NSA, that is. We need to be on guard against phony concern from those with no actual interest in changing NSA. Kerry’s words are as bland as possible and deliberately evasive.

“Some of these actions have reached too far and we’re going to try to make sure it doesn’t happen in the future. The president and I have learned of some things that have been happening in many ways on an automatic pilot, because the technology is there and the ability is there,” said our vacuous windbag Secretary of State.

So they’re going to “try”? Why not simply order NSA to change? And his ‘automatic pilot’ comments is simply comical. What, the new technology just installed itself without anyone knowing about it?
