Cow Power. Vermont dairy farms produce electricity from manure

Cow Power, the film, shows how diary farms in Vermont use cow manure to generate power.

In 2005, Vermont investigated a process that would take cow manure and turn it into renewable energy. Not only does this process help keep rural farms afloat, but it creates cow bedding, safe fertilizer and removes methane gas (which accounts for 25% of all greenhouse gasses

Cow Power will highlight the process in Vermont and illustrate how this process can be used across the
United States (ultimately accounting for 10% of the nation’s energy needs)
