3D printing mobiles, pre-assembled with 1365 pieces

3d-printed mobiles

Marco Mahler and Henry Segerman have created the world’s first 3D printed mobiles, with tolerances of 1/1000 of a millimeter. This one  needs no assembly because it is printed in completed form from nylon so you can put it in the dishwasher. This is another example of how 3D printing is making things that couldn’t really be made before.
