Earthquakes in US tied to fracking, says government

Who could have ever imagined that injecting high pressure water deep underground to fracture rocks could cause earthquakes?

A spate of earthquakes across the middle of the U.S. is “almost certainly” man-made, and may be caused by wastewater from oil or gas drilling injected into the ground, U.S. government scientists said in a study.

Switzerland, France, and New Jersay have already banned fracking, and for that very same reason. It causes earthquakes. And makes drinking water flammable.

  1. Why is it that the Swiss and French seem to have more common sense than us Americans? Gee, the water is flammable and contains the same chemicals that fracking puts into the ground. Where do you suppose it came from? Of course it’s from fracking! Then earthquakes can be caused by fracking simply because of the high pressure fracking exerts into the ground which pushes upon faults? You’re joking that nobody but Europeans seem to realize this? I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if fracking was banned by all countries and the earthquake activity started to calm down a bit all over the world. We’re the cause of our own natural disasters. Imagine that.
