The Aquarius Wind and Solar Power System is an advanced integrated system of rigid sails and solar panels that will allow ships to tap into renewable energy at sea by harnessing the energy provided by the wind and sun. The array of rigid sails can be stored when not in use or in bad weather and they can even be used when a ship is at anchor or in harbour.
A prototype should be ready by early next year.
