The extended 99 week benefits for unemployed is expiring by the end of the year
Close to $2 of every $10 that went into American’s wallets last year were payments like jobless benefits, food stamps, Social Security and disability, according to an analysis by Moody’s Analytics.
That money will no longer be circulating through the economy, making the recession worse.
The Sunday New York Times published an article titled “Somehow, the Unemployed Became Invisible” about the more than 14 million officially unemployed Americans.
