Rescue shelters generally get a huge influx of lost dogs and cats after the 4th of July. The fireworks scare them and then they run away.
So,
Keep your animals inside
Keep the inside environment calm
Mask the noise of fireworks with music or fans
Exercise dogs hard and feed them early, before the fireworks
Don’t leave pets unattended in cars
Do not take them to fireworks shows
Keep their ID tags update
I could care less about the pets, it’s a bad day for combat vets.
