Republican upsets Debra Bowen in CA-36, will face Hahn

A conservative Republican running in the heavily Democratic CA-36 Congressional District has apparently upset Secretary of State Debra Bowen by 206 votes. California now has a system where the top two regardless of party run in the general election if no candidate gets over 50% in the primary. Bowen and LA City Council member Janice Hahn, both Democrats, were expected place in the top two. But Bowen didn’t make it and Huey apparently has.
