I just registered a corporation online here in Utah. The whole process took about 30 minutes, including phone calls to two Utah government agencies where actual people answered the phone quickly and answered my questions. My Utah corporation should be ok’ed within a day or so.
In California, you can’t apply online, and the answers I got in those two quick phone calls would have taken at least all day to do in California.
