[Charles Gasparino] says the insider trading investigation is like a mob bust; the Justice Department and the FBI are using the same techniques they use against mobs and terrorists. “There is a gentleman in the middle they want to snare.”
Many believe this is Steve Cohen, head of SAC Capital, and a very big dog indeed. The feds are using wiretaps and leaning on those they’ve already arrested to force them to inform, tactics usually only used against organized crime. But then, “trading bags of money” on a massive scale based on illegally obtained insider information sure sounds like organized crime to me.
