This would be the same prison where guards gave weapons to prisoners and sent then out to do contract killings.
Seems like a near complete breakdown of anything resembling rule of law, doesn’t it? Supposed drug lords convicts live in luxury inside them. And what better alibi could there be for a contract killer than, I was in prison when it happened.
The implications here are scary. The police, prison guards, and military can not be trusted. So, who can be? The norms and agreements that hold society together seem to be unraveling in Mexico.
