Fidel: now officially befuddled

So says Marc Cooper, citing Castro’s recent article in Granma agreeing with the extremist right-wing nutball theory that the Bilberberg Group runs the world.

From an AP story

The excerpt published by Castro suggested that the esoteric Frankfurt School of socialist academics worked with members of the Rockefeller family in the 1950s to pave the way for rock music to “control the masses” by diverting attention from civil rights and social injustice.

Right. That’s why there was so much social protest music in the 60’s and “Fixin’ To Die” was the unofficial anthem of anti-Vietnam War protesters. Who knew that Country Joe, son of “American communists”, was a Rockefeller stooge?

Back to Cooper, who details how the Bilderberger conspiracy theory garbage has always had a anti-Semitic tinge to it as well as being favored by the extreme right.

By the way, I don’t think Castro is anti-Semitic.

I think he’s senile.

PS Cooper worked as a Spanish translator for the Allende government and is married to a Chilean woman. It can be assumed he read Castro’s article in Spanish on Granma and understood it.

  1. It seems like there can ONLY be conspiracy theories about the Bilderberg group, given that it is an annual, off-the-record, effectively secret meeting of global leaders in government, banking, business, the media and the military – which the corporate media have little or no interest in investigating.

  2. Awwww… isn’t that sweet, a group of the worlds corporate and military elite, and absolute richest, many of whom are dynastic – by six and seven generations – rich, get together to have tea.
