The rudeness of Mother Nature

1. Talk about misplaced optimism. Last time she erupted – it lasted a year. They better hope the weather pattern changes but seem like no matter which way the ash blows – it’s gonna be bad for someone.

2. ‘Back in the Volcano Days’ no longer has quite the ring it once had.[snort] Never-the-less, when we were salvaging timber off the slopes of Mt St Helens with helicopters, back in the day, every day was a primordial experience. And every day was a good day.

   I’ve never, not even with college and career and independent businessman and all that, never made the kind of money I made helicopter logging Back in the Volcano Days.
