  1. When I think of Fess, I think of Davy Crockett — we all know he died fighting at the Alamo, but few of us know that the “freedom” he died fighting for was the freedom to own slaves. And this guy we turn into an icon.

  2. And then there’s the little matter of the glorification of the genocide of perhaps ten million First Americans. Screw Tehas, give it back to Mehico. Hitler and the Zionists loved “The Indian Solution”.

    Oddly, I find it a reflective moment for we of the Unique Generation, we products of mid-fifties promiscuous pregnancies and sixties serial southern California divorce, we whose earliest memories of televised images in their earliest days may very well be those of “Davy Crockett”. While there may have then been questions of the potential of the medium for mind control, an opiate for the masses… population control, there is certainly none now.
