Teenage-built diesel hybrid does 0-60 in 4 seconds, soon to break 100 MPG

They are from West Philly’s Academy of Automotive and Mechanical Engineering and are the only high school team competing for the $10 million Automotive X prize. They’ve previously gone head to head with elite college teams in other competitions and won.
