The bill, which passed the House by a vote of 46 to 11 and the Senate by a vote of 27 to 2, permits the production, trade and possession of industrial hemp commodities and products.
Industrial hemp is grown for oil or fiber. Smoke a pound of it and all you get is a headache. Other countries have permitted hemp farming for decades. Montana just a passed a similar law and both are direct challenges to the current brain-dead federal law.
