The new Raser Technologies geothermal plant in Utah will start producing power for Anaheim, CA as soon as this week, with zero carbon emissions too. The plant was built and will go online in less than one year.
Geothermal is baseline energy, it’s always there, always available. This is proven technology, substantial parts of the west already get power from geothermal.
