1. A pretty sad statement that without the Christmas feeding frenzy, our economy collapses. What if Christmas became religious again? Would we revert to the Dark Ages?

   (Actually I guess Christmas IS a religious holiday– the most important holiday for conspicuous consumption and greed.)
