Thousands protest Iraq war in Britain

Good! But, um, what happened to the antiwar movement here? Has it been vaporized by the all-encompassing presidential campaign? The two groups with the ability to pull off major protests, ANSWER and United for Peace, are missing in action. This is the first September since the Iraq War started that there have not been major antiwar demonstrations in the U.S. Not good.

  1. We are burying Captain Michael J. Medders Jr. 25 this Friday in Avon Lake Ohio. He died last Wednesday in Jisr Naft of wounds suffered in a suicide bombing in Iraq I don’t even what Jisr Naft is, a town? Military base? This is going to be a hugh funeral. Captain Medders was your all-American kid. His father is the police chief of Elyria, Ohio. I wrote President Bush that he should be there.
I think that since Barack Obama is calling of an end to the war in Iraq, the election is center stage ,therefor no mass demonstrations .
The House just voted down the Wall St bail-out package. They will quickly vote again and pass a bailout deal. Meanwhile the Iraq War Resolution of 2002 is hasn’t been recinded. The worst vote ever in the United States still stands! It’s been six years and this resolution hasn’t been repealed or challanged to any great extent.

  2. George W. Bush’s sentence-by-sentence speaking skills are deteriorating. Apparently, this may be due to a mental illness called “presenile dementia.” Bush may or may not be secretly still drinking heavily. Bush lied, and thousands of people died. Bush suffers from narcissism and megalomania. Moreover, Bush has been arrested three times. Bush was arrested for disorderly conduct. Bush was arrested for stealing. Bush was also arrested for a serious crime—driving under the influence of alcohol. There are reasons to believe that Bush suffers from a learning disability. Bush’s learning disability would explain a lot of things. All in all, Bush is a severely mentally ill individual. Bush is not fit to be the president of the United States.
