Rush Limbaugh has been nominated for the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize by the Landmark Legal Foundation.
Limbaugh, whose daily radio show is heard by more than 20 million people on more than 600 radio stations in the United States and around the world, was nominated for the prestigious award for his “nearly two decades of tireless efforts to promote liberty, equality and opportunity for all humankind, regardless of race, creed, economic stratum or national origin [sic]. These are the only real cornerstones of just and lasting peace throughout the world,” said Landmark President Mark R. Levin.
Truthout has more. This is not the first time Landmark Legal Foundation has nominated Rush Limbaugh for the prestigious prize, they nominated him last year too. This presumably is the same Rush Limbaugh who justified the U.S. guards’ mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners, stating that they were just “having a good time,” and that their actions served as an “emotional release.“; and the same Rush Limbaugh who mocked Michael J Fox’s shaking caused by Parkinson,s disease; and the same guy who smears US anti-war protesters as being “Anti-American”.
