California Atty Gen. Bill Lockyer yesterday filed suit against GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, and Nissan charging that emissions from their vehicles have hurt the environment and economy of California by contributing to global warming.
This will be real interesting to watch, a monumental lawsuit, and you can bet all manner of players will jump in from the sidelines and get involved. Half the fun will be watching the Right foam at the mouth with rage.
The root problem though is an economic system that promotes short-term personal gain over the long-term good of all. That’s what need to change. Everything else is Band-Aids.
