Forbes reports HP Chairwoman Patricia Dunn “took the fall.”
Sue says, that’s a gangland phrase meaning someone took the rap for someone else. Forbes could have used any phrase but they choose that one. Interesting.
Given there are at least five ongoing criminal investigations of HP, I’m guessing that while Dunn may have taken a bullet (or been pushed in front of the gun), there will be multiple figurative corpses before this is over.
Gosh, what a beacon of ethics and responsibilty corporate America is.
Update: California Attorney General Bill Lockyer says he has “enough evidence to indict” people in HP. This could happen as soon as next week.
