At yesterday’s National Alliance for Human Rights meeting, it was announced that on May 1st, community leaders announce an international boycott against Coca Cola and its products (Minute Maid, etc.)Ԛ  If amnesty is not granted then a second international company should be added to the list.Ԛ  Wal-Mart?
Looks like it going to be huge! At ANSWER LA, the phones have been ringing constantly all week with people wanting info, press inquiries, etc. 80,000 flyers have gone out. There will be two marches in L.A., a shutdown of the ports by independent truckers, and many businesses will be closed that day in solidarity.

  1. An interesting piece on local news this a.m. They were in the Mission District, heart of the Latino population in San Francisco. Many stores have signs on the windows, closed Monday for the strike. The reporter said that EVERY SINGLE Latino they talked to was supporting the strike, but most of the non-Latinos they talked to were not.
