Germany plans to replace nuclear power with renewable energy

Merkel has pledged to speed Germany’s transition for nuclear to renewable energy. Several nuclear plants there were closed for inspection after the Fukushima disaster and it is doubtful they will re-open.

I’m sure after ten or twenty years of squabbling and vicious political fighting the US will arrive at the same decision.
