Kucinich kept purportedly rebellious progressives inside the Democratic Party, especially during presidential elections. He would run in primaries, get a small but enthusiastic vote from progressives who might otherwise a third party candidate. He would then invariably support the nominee, no matter how far removed from his own views.

I completely agree with Kucinich on ending the wars, having public works projects, and green jobs incubators.
