Pro-Morsi forces torched two government buildings today. I’ve not seen any reports that indicate that military or police were there to stop it. Hundreds are dead, thousands are wounded. Sounds to me like the government in no longer in control of events.
With a thuggish military government on one side and repressive Islamists on the other, those seeking democracy have no choice at all.
Meanwhile, President Hopey Changiness agreed with his nonentity Secretary of State in condemning the violence, calling for reconciliation, and imploring all sides to have a nice group hug.
