Oberlin Ohio now gets 55% of its power from landfill gas

Two nearby landfills are now produce 55% of energy for city of Oberlin Ohio. When garbage decomposes, it produces methane, which can be captured and used to create electricity. This is a double win because methane is a potent greenhouse gas. So, instead of releasing it into the atmosphere, it will be used to generate energy.

May many more cities do the same!
