The Pope’s butler has been arrested by Vatican police for leaking documents, which were published. The head of the Vatican Bank has been fired.

This is hardly the first time the Vatican Bank has been embroiled in allegations of corruption. Characteristically, the Vatican has responded with arrogance and by trying to slime the opposition. But clearly there is an internal war going on in the Vatican that has broken into the open. One wonders what further relevations are coming and just how deep the rot is.
