AT&T on Thursday put limits on its Unlimited Data plans, slowing speeds for 3G and 4G customers who exceed 3 GB in a billing cycle and capping 4G LTE customers at 5 GB.
They will slow down the speed for heavy iPhone users but still allow unlimited data.
I figured I must be a heavy usage user. Turns out I’m not even close, with a mere 500 MB a month or so. But then much of my iPhone usage is via wi-fi.
To check your usage on an iPhone 4S, Settings/ General/ Usage/ Cellular usage
Basically if you want to continue using an iphone, you should switch to Sprint. When the new iphone comes out, everybody is going to flock to Sprint and AT&T customers who currently have a previous model and want to upgrade to the newest iphone will flock to Sprint. Basically AT&T proved it’s network might be vast, but it can’t handle the load.
Had 2.75GB in Feb… close to the 3GB mark (though I’m not sure if I’m a 4G LTE user)
Do you watch a lot of videos on the iPhone?
