Waylon Jennings, Buddy Holly and King Curtis. Jole Blon.

Rare 1958 track from Waylon Jennings with Buddy Holly on guitar and King Curtis on tenor sax recorded in Clovis, New Mexico for Brunswick Records. FYI: The Cajun lyrics are just gibberish, as the boys listened to the original Cajun classic by Harry Choates and then just set down and copied the words like they thought they sounded. Evidently, they weren’t even close!

Waylon Jennings was a member of the Crickets and almost took that fateful plane ride with Buddy Holly. (So almost did Dion Dimucci.)
