Last week I visited a friend of mine who watches Fox News all day. Fox paints OWS as a bunch of left wing commie wackos, and their watchers believe it – much like the MSNBC crowd believed (and still largely believes) all the crap spewed about the tea partiers. Yes, there are wackos in OWS, just like there are racists in the Tea Party movement. But that doesn’t make the whole movement an extension of the sins of a minority of its members.
Funny how the same corporate advertisers fund both Fox and MSNBC. I’m sure that has nothing to do with the effort to discredit anti-corporate movements in this country. Surely they would never fabricate “news” to get us at each others’ throats so they can continue with business as usual!
The co-founder of the original Tea Party has just endorsed OWS, a positive sign indeed.
