The Pentagon is very very sorry this happened, said miscommunication was the problem which lead to it killing two of its own military. Their “investigation” absolved all involved of any responsibility, of course.
Others might opine the use of drones is out of control and counter-productive. Drones often kill civilians in areas the US is supposed to be protecting, with predictably disastrous blowback. Now they’ve killed two of their own and no one really cares because the mindless killing machine must be permitted to go on.
Because, y’know, we’re making the world safe for democracy and enriching the defense contractors. I forget which one is the primary goal. That none of this actually helps the people of Afghanistan is irrelevant.
