Antonio Maria Costa, head of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, said drug money laundered by banks kept financial system going during the peak of the 2008 financial crisis.
$352 billion of drug money, to be precise . (I’ve  blogged this before but it seems appropriate for this day of mass protest against Wall Street.)
