John McCain on Tea Party ‘hobbits”

He says the GOP Tea Party strategy is default followed by a shutdown, which somehow would blamed on Democrats not them and then magically lead to a balanced budget amendment, at which point “the Tea Party hobbits would return to Middle Earth having defeated Mordor.” Heh. (Even if “the Hobbits defeated Sauron in Mordor, which was part of Middle Earth, and then returned furrily to the Shire.)
