The Google ‘+1’ and ‘Facebook Like’ icons at the top of the right sidebar apply to the entire site.
Each post now has a ‘Share’ icon at the top. You can share a post to over 100 services with it. The “+1” icon is at the bottom of the posts is Google’s new way of sharing, which is popping up everywhere now.
The +1 button is a shorthand for “this is pretty cool” or “you should check this out.” Click +1 to publicly give something your stamp of approval. Your +1’s can help friends, contacts and others find the best stuff when they search.
Your +1 recommendations appear in a new tab on your Google Profile, which makes it a handy way to bookmark things, plus your friend and contacts +1’s appear in your Google’s searches.
