Common Sense 2.0: How to Save America – first steps

AmpedStatus presents three ways to save the country.

1) End the system of political bribery: campaign finance, lobbying and the revolving door.

2) Break up the banks and hold them accountable: The Federal Reserve banking system and their primary dealers (i.e. Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Citigroup, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo).

3) Open up the mainstream media and protect Internet freedom.

These proposals are neither left nor right. Rather, they are populist. The problem isn’t The Other Party. The problem is an entrenched system of corruption between politicians in Washington and large corporations, primarily financial institutions. That’s where the rot is. That’s what must be changed.

  1. Do you expect the political class and their corporate bed mates to sit by and let it all happen. I presume you will do this via politicians, who will enter the political system like knights in shining armour only to find that the other arm of the corrupt system, the media, will carry out the usual character assassination of any who dare to change the status quo. You are aiming to reform the unreformable. The dream of small friendly capitalist companies working for the benefit of the general public in society, fails to take into account the nature of capitalism. Increase market share, increase profits and minimise costs, in other words get bigger and get rid of the competition, are you asking people in business not to grow?. We are now reaching that ultimate aim, the big world corporations that control everything, and you want to sit down round the table and say, “Please can you be a little bit more thoughtful of the general public.” Which general public? the corporations don’t have a nation, they are not patriotic, that’s for the peasants. It is international corporate capitalism and you can’t turn back the clock to the good old days when the boss lived up the road in a slightly bigger house. Let’s get real, the sytem stinks, it can’t be humanised, it has to go, we have to come up with an alternative system. Any ideas?
