Mayor Bloomberg defends Florida pastor’s right to burn Quran

“In a strange way I’m here to defend his right to do that,” Bloomberg said, of Terry Jones, the pastor from Florida’s Dover World Outreach Church in Gainseville, Fla., who is behind the proposed rally. “I happen to think that it is distasteful…But the First Amendment protects everybody, and you can’t say that we’re going to apply the First Amendment to only those cases where we are in agreement.”

I agree. And this also means that other have every right to attack the pastor for his noxious, despicable views.

“I may disagree with what you say but will defend to the death your right to say it.”

  1. Personally I think someone should be standing right next to Pastor Terry and for every Koran he burns – In true Christian fashion – they should burn a Bible.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

  2. Well spoken, I wonder how they would react to a really big bible burning to protest against God’s cruelty in drowning everything and everybody, man woman and child on earth, Oh except his favourite Noah and some procreators.
