Mexico declares war on drug cartels

It’s an official military war now – no euphemism – in which the cartels are no longer criminals but declared “enemy combatants.”
The best (and only) way to end the seriously escalating drug wars is for the US to legalize marijuana, as that is where the bulk of the cartel’s profits comes from. If we don’t, the violence will inevitably spill across the border.
