Adopt an animal from a shelter

This video was taken November 28th at a Lancaster, California animal shelter. But the shelter nearest you is just the same — overflowing with abandoned and surrendered animals.

Please consider making room for another companion animal in your life.

Please forward this message and video to all of your friends, share it on Facebook and Twitter.

(Private pet shelters also often need people to foster animals for a bit, like with mom cats with newborn kittens who need a quiet safe place for a while until they go back to the shelter to be adopted.

Public shelters often have so many animals that they can not cope and must put them down if they aren’t placed quickly. We are talking hundreds at a time sometimes.
