Key oil numbers distorted by US pressure, says whistleblower

The world is much closer to running out of oil than official estimates admit, according to a whistleblower at the International Energy Agency who claims it has been deliberately underplaying a looming shortage for fear of triggering panic buying.

This is like the economic crisis. Our government makes up imaginary numbers and pretends there is no problem. Yeah, that’ll solve everything. We certainly wouldn’t want reality to intrude into the make believe PR world they try to hoist upon us.

Oh wait, it’s the same with Afghanistan too. Let’s pretend more troops will solve the problem. But even Gorbachev doesn’t believe that, saying the US can’t win there and should withdraw.
