Broadband internet access is now a legal right in Finland

Starting in July, all Finnish citizens must have at least 1 Mbps connection, and the government wants to make that 100 Mbps by 2015.

“We think it’s something you cannot live without in modern society. Like banking services or water or electricity, you need Internet connection” a government official said.
