A new company, Envion, has developed a process to create fuel from waste plastic. Their first plant just opened.
For each ton of waste the plant can produce three to five barrels of fuel, with each barrel costing about $10 to make.
82% of the waste can be converted to fuel, and the leftover sludge is usable too. Let’s hope this new technology gets adopted widely.
